A compact leather journal with a blackened tan cover, textured surface and an ornate tree design surrounding a central watchful eye. The raised detailing gives it the appearance of an old symbolic volume, suited to a writing desk, bedside table or carefully arranged shelf.
Inside are 160 deckle-edged pages with an intentionally uneven, timeworn appearance. The substantial three-centimetre depth gives the journal a reassuring weight while remaining small enough to carry for writing, sketching, recording dreams or gathering private thoughts.
The central motif is based on the traditional evil-eye symbol, framed here within the branches of an intricately worked tree. The design can be appreciated simply for its dark ornamental character without making claims about protection, luck or spiritual effects.
Each journal is handcrafted in India. Natural differences in the leather grain, colouring, embossed detail and page edges may occur, making every book slightly individual.
